Experts say that our life expectancy has increased over the last one hundred years. Although we are living longer, has our quality of life suffered? Is your quality of life suffering due to a digestive issue? You may be suffering from a serious digestive illness, such as Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, or ulcerative colitis. These are overt digestive problems that are becoming more prevalent in our society. You are not alone. Studies indicate that one-third to one-half of adults have a digestive problem. The serious digestive illnesses mentioned above are not the only digestive issues that exist that can decrease your quality of life. Digestive issues can be related to any of the following:

  • Constipation is prevalent in our society. One out of every four people is constipated. The International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders classifies constipation as: reduced stool frequency (normal = 1 stool per day), hard stools, difficulty passing stools, straining, painful bowel movements, or feeling of incomplete emptying after defecation.
  • Gas and bloating after meals is very common but is NOT NORMAL. If after eating meals, you need to undo the top button of your pants, then you have a digestive issue.
  • Chronic diarrhea or loose stools can be caused by infections-parasites –bacteria-viral-fungal, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, malabsorption, medications, foods that disagree with your body, or lactose intolerance. Diarrhea is a symptom of an underlying issue.

How does a consultation work?

We work with clients in Encinitas, California or anywhere in the world through Telehealth virtual calls.

During your initial phone consultation we will review your Health History Forms and Seven Day Food and make recommendations for lab tests that are appropriate for your specific health issues.

A lab test allows us to determine the root cause of your problem. It may require a collection of stool, urine, saliva, or blood. All lab collections are done in the privacy of your own home. Once the specimens are collected, they are sent to the lab. Once the lab receives the specimen, the turnaround time is approximately seven to ten working days. Interpretation of the results will be discussed in a follow up appointment.  We will fine tune nutrition, implement a Therapeutic Support Plan with supplements, and discuss lifestyle recommendations. Subsequent consultations are scheduled to monitor your progress and to modify your program. Please note international clients depending on your country’s laws in regards to shipping human specimens laboratory testing may or may not be an option.  The consultation could still offer great insight and guidance to your wellness plan.

What is the fee for a consultation?

The initial consultation will take 60 minutes. Follow-up consultations are 30 minutes.  This does not include labortory testing or recommended supplementation.

Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

Cancellation and Reschedule Policy

When an appointment is scheduled, time is reserved especially for you and no one else. This appointment is a commitment you and the practitioner have made to your health. Since our appointments are much longer than standard office visits, cancellations are significant interruptions to the office.

When you do not cancel an appointment promptly, you may be preventing another client from getting much-needed treatment. Thus, a minimum of 2 business days’ (48hrs) notice is required for cancellations and reschedules.

There will be a 100% office visit charge ($150 for a ½ hour, $300 for 1 hour) for “no-shows,” late cancellations, or reschedules that can’t be filled.

All appointments must be reserved with a credit card. Please be aware: Holidays and weekends do not constitute business days, and all Monday appointments must be canceled by Thursday. It is your responsibility to remember your appointment date and time.
