  • Constipation is prevalent in our society. One out of every four people is constipated. The International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders classifies constipation as: reduced stool frequency (normal = 1 stool per day), hard stools, difficulty passing stools, straining, painful bowel movements, or feeling of incomplete emptying after defecation.
  • Gas and bloating after meals is very common but is NOT NORMAL. If after eating meals, you need to undo the top button of your pants, then you have a digestive issue.
  • Chronic diarrhea or loose stools can be caused by infections-parasites –bacteria-viral-fungal, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, malabsorption, medications, foods that disagree with your body, or lactose intolerance. Diarrhea is a symptom of an underlying issue.

How does a consultation work?

Although our office is located in Encinitas, California our Telehealth platform called “Healthie” which is also a mobile friendly app allows us to have Telehealth calls anywhere in the world.

Your initial nutrition consultation will be a Telehealth call through “Healthie” where we will review your completed Health History Form and the required Seven Day Food journal.  Food journals can be done through the convenience of the Healthie app just snap a pic of what you ate and write a brief description of your meal. During your initial nutrition consultation Robert will make recommendations for laboratory tests that may be appropriate for your specific health issues.

What is the fee for a consultation?

An initial nutrition consultation will take 60 minutes. Follow-up consultations range from 30-45 minutes.  This does not include laboratory testing or recommended supplementation that is a separate fee.

HOURLY RATE:

  • 1 hour: $300
  • 45 Minutes $225
  • 30 Minutes: $150
What are the fees for laboratory testing?

The cost for laboratory testing ranges from $422-$1500. The recommended lab test or tests won’t be known until after the initial nutrition consultation.  Payment for each laboratory testing is due in full once the lab is ordered.  No refunds are accepted for laboratory testing NO EXCEPTIONS.  You will be responsible for scheduling and payment of the blood draw fee.  The consultation time to review your laboratory test results and the recommended therapeutic support plan of action will require a separate appointment ranging in a 30-45 minutes.

What do I need to do to get started?

Step 1: Please fill out your “Healthier Lifestyle” New Client Info form

STEP 2: Once you have completed the New Client Info form you will be auto-directed to our online HEALTHIE portal!

ON HEALTHIE:

Begin by creating an account with Healthie where you will then be prompted to complete our New Client intake forms which includes a detailed Health History and important waivers that must be signed before your initial nutrition appointment. You can then purchase your package and book your first appointment. 

We use Healthie, an online portal, as an easy and safe way to work. It’s a mobile friendly app so encourage our clients to download the app right away to their smartphones.  Once you have completed the New Client Intake process you can then begin uploading any recent lab work you may have had done in PDF format (within 12 months) and start logging your required 7 Day Food Journal. It’s that simple.

Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

Cancellation and Reschedule Policy

When an appointment is scheduled, time is reserved especially for you and no one else. This appointment is a commitment you and the practitioner have made to your health. Since our appointments are much longer than standard office visits, cancellations are significant interruptions to the office.

When you do not cancel an appointment promptly, you may be preventing another client from getting much-needed treatment. Thus, a minimum of 2 business days’ (48hrs) notice is required for cancellations and reschedules.

There will be a 100% office visit charge ($150 for a ½ hour, $300 for 1 hour) for “no-shows,” late cancellations, or reschedules that can’t be filled.

All appointments must be reserved with a credit card. Please be aware: Holidays and weekends do not constitute business days, and all Monday appointments must be canceled by Thursday. It is your responsibility to remember your appointment date and time.
